| Missing: Shadow the ferret |
A PET ferret is on the loose after escaping from its Tottenham home.
The animal has caused a stink by sneaking out of its owner's home in Spigurnell Road on Friday and has not been seen since.
Margaret, 52, and Roger Bradley, 63, have been taking in the animals as pets for eight years. At the moment they have four in the house - minus one, called Shadow, who escaped.
Mr Bradley, who is retired, said: "We picked up this beautiful little ferret. Completely harmless, great character and the other morning he wasn't around. We don't know what happened."
Mrs Bradley, a chef, thinks that Shadow may have snuck out of the front door as she put the rubbish out late on
Friday night.
She said: "I have had them for about eight years. I've not bought them. They are rescued ones. Shadow I got from a home in Muswell Hill. It was locked up for three years. It was so happy it kept licking and licking us.
"He snuck out the front door I reckon. I opened the front door to put the rubbish out and maybe it got out."
The couple have taken in six ferrets and insist they make great pets - even better than cats and dogs.
Mrs Bradley said: "I just felt sorry for them because mostly when people buy them they bite or let that scent off and they lose interest. Once you train them and you are not going to attack them they are completely different."
Mr Bradley said: "They are better than cats and dogs because they are smaller and more unique. She walks them up to the park and they draw a lot of attention."
The Bradleys miss Shadow so much that they are offering a £100 reward for his safe return.
Mr Bradley said: "Ferrets are ferrets - they ferret around. They are climbing up finding little holes. We suspect that he might have crept out. They are beautiful pets. They are clean. They use a litter tray. They don't like living in their mess."
If anyone has seen Shadow contact the Bradleys on 020 8352 0821. |
