Whitby Today

The ferret found The ferret found

THERE'S nowt else to say ferret, this little lady is lost.

This bundle of fur was found wandering around a nearby village and has been taken in by the Locker family in Stainsacre.

Nicknamed Evie because she was found so close to Christmas she is currently staying in deluxe ferret accommodation.

Rachael Locker, who already has a male ferret called Derek, says she thinks Evie is around three months old.

She has already placed an advert in the Whitby Gazette asking for Evie's owner to come forward but with no luck – although Mrs Locker would rather like to keep her as she has already become one of the family.

Anyone who has had one of their ferrets weasel its way out of its cage should contact Mrs Locker on (01947) 825045.
