(This article references what occurred in this article. Tom Kasner, It's a Ferret Life)

All Donna wanted to do is defend her friend, Elaine Mccraig, who's been charged with animal cruelty. She says her friend had good intentions, but just didn't ask for help.

Donna says, her friend was actually rescuing ferrets, taking in old and sick ones when their owners had given up. That's why many people like Donna asked her for advice.

Donna says, "she was able to tell me what I needed to know because I hadn't a clue on how to take care of a ferret. I found out so much; how to feed them, let them play, what to watch out for, and what to do when they're sick."

News of Mccraig's ordeal, still brings her to tears.
