OGDEN -- Ferret owner Mary McDonald has organized a Saturday exotic animal fair to dispel myths and share information.
It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lorin Farr Park, 1691 Gramercy Ave.
Animal owners are invited to share their knowledge and may bring their pets along only if they are vaccinated in accordance with city code.
Local veterinarians and pet shop owners will also be available to answer questions about traditional and exotic pets, McDonald said.
In August, McDonald petitioned the Ogden City Council to change an ordinance banning ferrets, and the ban has been temporarily lifted while the council reconsiders the ordinance.
Her ferret, Einstein, will be in attendance, and McDonald will answer questions about ferret care and her goal of starting an Ogden ferret rescue. |
