Paris who earlier could not be separated from her pint sized pooch and was often spotted shopping for accessories for him has now given the dog to her mother Kathy, after she complained that it had become too big to fit in her handbag.

SAN ANTONIO -- A student at a San Antonio university has filed a complaint, alleging the school is violating her civil rights.

The student asked the Justice Department to find Our Lady of the Lake University in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act, reported KSAT-TV in San Antonio.

There are dog people. There are cat people.

And then there are Cheryl and Steve Reznick, a class unto themselves. The Gibbsboro couple are ferret people - get-down-on-the-floor-and-let-the-weasel-looking-things-run-all-over-you people.

An entire floor of their home is given over to ferret cages, ferret toys, ferret photos, ferret signs, ferret treats, intricate charts of their 31 ferrets - even a wood shelf crammed with tiny containers of ferret ashes.

It's been the Ferret Olympics for nine years, but now an annual competition in Eugene, Oregon is changing its name.

The United States Olympic Committee has threatened to sue -- prompting event organizers to make it the Ferret Agility Trials. This year's event was scheduled for Sunday. An estimated 75 ferrets competed for medals in events like the tube run and paper bag escape.
