BOSTON -- Animal welfare authorities are searching for the person who
tossed two caged ferrets into a Fenway dumpster.
A neighbor made the horrifying find Sunday.
One of the ferrets was found dead. the other was severely dehydrated.
The woman wrapped the thin, shivering female ferret in a sweatshirt
and contacted the animal rescue league.
"There is no need to leave them in a dumpster," said Danielle Genter,
of Animal Rescue League of Boston.
The animal is expected to be okay.
Investigators are hoping surveillance cameras behind the Peterborough
Street building will provide clues. |
