Our goal is to reenergize the legalization effort with a bit of ferret-like optimism, enthusiasm, and teamwork. There are hundreds of thousands of Californians personally affected by the ferret ban. We are reaching out to every single one of them, asking them to stand up for the rights that are due to them as the owners of domesticated pets.
A lot of thought has gone into this Initiative. Over the past 15 years California ferret proponents have been in front of the Fish and Game Commission, in the courts and in the legislature. For whatever reason, California won’t budge on this issue. We believe a ballot initiative is our best hope of moving this issue forward and achieving legalization. After all, the premise is simple:
Domestic Ferrets Are Domestic Animals. Domestic Animals Are Legal
