FURRY Ferret Rescue.
This is a place where ferret owners can share with others in a community atmosphere, and support a shelter dedicated to finding forever homes for ferrets.
FURRY has risen from a void left in the St. Louis metropolitan area. In order to survive FURRY needs a strong community that understands the need for it to exist.
We are always looking for help. If you are willing to give help, in any way, to the only ferret rescue in St Louis, please use the contact form on the left and let us know. If you try to contact any of the ferret shelters listed on any of the large ferret sites, you will find many of them have closed their doors. Late 2005 it looked like the same fate was in store for FURRY. There is a small group of us who are determined to continue the success furry had as a shelter, but we can't do it alone. We currently do not have a central location for the shelter. All ferrets are in foster, and adoptions are arranged either through our adoption days at PetsMart or by contacting us about a ferret you saw on PetFinder.

OK, I'm biased. I am a volunteer with FURRY, and am their webmaster. FURRY is a great organization, and a great group of people who really care about what they do. It has been rescueing ferrets for ten years this years and has placed countless ferrets. Thank you to all involved with this group past and present.
