No ferret turned away!
The Essential Ferret Services of Idaho is a 501(c)3, Federal non-profit, no-kill shelter located in Emmett, Idaho that was founded in 2001. Although we are located in Emmett, we rescue ferrets from all over Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho, including Boise, Nampa, Eagle, Meridian, Caldwell, McCall, Homedale, Weiser and many other cities.
Why adopt, and why adopt from us?
- They're already trained and handled daily!
- We microchip all our ferrets for extra security!
- All ferrets are up-to-date on their vaccinations and ADV negative!
- We feed a premium diet and get them in tip-top shape before you adopt!
- All ferrets receive a check-up by a veterinarian that specializes in ferrets!
- We're not a pet store that's trying to make money off you -- So far in 2006, only 36% of the money that directly goes toward caring from the ferrets has come from adoption fees!
- We know their personality, socialize them with other ferrets, cats, dogs, and children, and can help you find the ones that will fit best with your lifestyle!
- We're a tax-deductible federal non-profit 501(c)3 organization!
Other services we provide:
- Boarding (with current distemper vaccination and proof of a recent negative ADV test)
- ADV testing
- Low-cost ferret supplies including bedding, cages, toys, bowls/bottles, shampoos, etc
- Advice on ferret care, training, and medical and health issues
We are on PetFinder.Com (We changed our name, January 2010, from Emmett Ferret Shelter to Essential Ferret Services of Idaho)
